At Living & Learning, whanaungatanga (relationships) is at the heart of everything we do. We believe that when tamariki, whānau, and Kaiako are connected, learning and growth flourish. Our curriculum, The Living & Learning Advantage, places the whole child—body, mind, and spirit—at the centre of our practice, through care that is intentional, empowering, and deeply rooted in community.
Grounded in Te Whāriki and guided by our values of faith, hope, and love, we honour each child’s mana and uniqueness through respectful, responsive care. Our approach supports tamariki to grow in confidence, resilience, and self-esteem—so they become capable, confident, lifelong learners.
The Living & Learning Advantage is built on four foundational pillars:
Nurture Me | Poipoia Ahau
Warm, attuned relationships help children feel secure and valued. Our Kaiako respond to each child’s cues and rhythms with care, consistency, and respect.
Move Me | Nekehia Ahau
We recognise children’s natural desire to move as a way of learning. Our environments are designed to support learning in motion— laying the foundation for physical confidence, resilience, and joyful exploration.
Nourish Me | Whāngaihia Ahau
Mealtimes are moments for connection and care. We offer nutritious kai within calm, welcoming settings where tamariki can explore simple, joyful food.
Inspire Me | Whakaawehia Ahau
We ignite curiosity through creative play, storytelling, and learning experiences that reflect each child’s interests and cultural identity—growing a love of learning that lasts a lifetime.
